Goals and OutcomesWhat do I want to get out of my experience here at SLCC?
I want to take full advantage of the professors, knowledge and sources Salt Lake Community College provides while I am here for my two year program. When choosing schools I thought Salt Lake Community College looked appealing because of the smaller class sizes, the location and the exceptional nursing program. So far I have had great success in my classes, and have enjoyed the relationships that I have made with teachers and students. I am excited to begin the nursing program and I hope to start improving my knowledge and education throughout this process. What skills or knowledge do I want to acquire? I want to acquire skills that will be affective for the nursing program so I will be well prepared when finding a job outside of school in the future. I want to establish an understanding of impactful life skills such as communicating with others, and knowledge that will get me to that point. I am specifically excited to acquire a more broad knowledge of the nursing field and start an internship where I can be emerged and familiarized with the hard work that takes place. How do I want to grow as a person and as a learner? I want to grow from my experience here at SLCC in several different ways. I want to have a great college experience that will teach me independence, how to take on different and new responsibilities and how to plan for my future. College is a great opportunity of me to grow in many different ways, and I have loved every experience that I have had thus far, and look forward to many more! What kind of career am I looking for? I am personally looking for a job that will allow me to help people while doing what I love. I have always had a passion for the medical field and am hoping to some day become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
